The Corner Shop's top plays. 11 September 2015 Our team name their favourites

Here at The Corner Shop, there are few things we enjoy more than a good old fashioned list. Whether it's Buzzfeed's take on 27 alternative fonts for Google’s new logo, or listening to the Top 40 on a Friday afternoon, we're firm list fans, especially if it focuses on another of our favourite things- plays. With Michael Billington's 101 Greatest Plays hitting the shelves this week, we've been afforded the perfect opportunity to share our top picks too- works which have made us laugh, cry, and which have stayed with us long after turning the final page. Whilst we can't promise that our comments section will swell to anywhere near the volume of that which accompanies Billington's 101 titles, it's worth noting (disclaimer alert!) that if you asked us to pick our favourites again tomorrow, in a month, or in a year, we'd probably come up with an array of edits. After all, the best play we've never seen could be waiting just around the corner...
