Hull’s year as UK City of Culture concluded at the end of 2017, after demonstrating the value and impact of the title, socially and economically, with more than 3.5 million people in attendance throughout the year.

The culture-filled year was split into four different seasons, Made in Hull, Roots and Routes, Freedom and Tell the World, with many specially commissioned events reflecting the city’s unique character and its ability to attract visitors from across the UK.

Hull’s success has created a new, internationally far-reaching, benchmark for City of Culture.
